2011 Senior Student Art Scholarship

Ariana Conte is the winner of the 2011 Marblehead Festival of Arts Student Art Scholarship. A recent graduate of Marblehead High School with high academic standing, Ariana will attend Emerson College in the fall, where she has been selected to work toward her BFA in Musical Theatre. During her high school career, Ariana appeared in many musicals and dramas. She was chosen for the all-star cast of the Massachusetts Drama Festival during her sophomore, junior and senior years. Ariana was also a four-year member of The Jewel Tones, Marblehead High School’s A cappella singing group. This year the group travelled to New York for an international competition.

For many years, Ariana has been part of Marblehead Little Theatre. Her music and acting experiences there began in the fourth grade in Oliver. Last summer, she was in Spelling Bee and was in this summer’s production of Hairspray.
