Art Exhibits

Abbot Hall Exhibits during Festival 2002.
For most exhibits, artists who reside in, work in, or are members of an art association in Essex County are invited to enter their original works for consideration in the Marblehead Festival of Arts. Each exhibit is juried by two or three judges with expertise in their respective fields. The judges first select works for showing during the Festival; and then choose award recipients for Best of Show, Outstanding Work, and Honorable Mention. Some exhibits also have special recognition awards.
Most of the art is for sale. Purchasing a work benefits both the artist and the Festival, which receives a commission on all sales. Prices are listed in the printed Festival Program, which is available at all exhibit locations. For details on how to purchase a work, please see the Exhibit hosts.
