April Frost has been an artist, ceramic artist,
and crafts person most of her life. A graduate of Massachusetts
College of Art, she is the owner of Hands On!, a clay and
ceramics studio in Marblehead where she teaches adults and children
the art of ceramics and pottery. Her classes with children are always
full. The new Marblehead High School is home to many of April's
ceramic murals.
Pat Flaherty is an artist member of the Marblehead
Arts Association and a well known weaver. In 1978, she founded Sedgwick
Handwovens, which developed into Sedgwick Fiber Arts. Known for
her one-of-a-kind clothing pieces, these days, Pat's concentration
is on hand-dying natural fibers and weaving them in the colors of
specific geographic locations which have been captured in her photography.
Her work has been on display throughout New England. |
