Judges

Shelly Bradbury received a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Boston University. For the past seven years, she has been teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Boston University and Gordon College. She has exhibited works throughout Massachusetts and in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. Her prestigious awards include the Audubon Artists Gold Medal of Honor from the Salmagundi Club in New York City, and the Helen Foster Barnett Award in Sculpture from the National Academy of Design in New York City. Currently, she is working on commissions for Endicott College and the City of Gloucester.

John Volpacchio is an Associate Professor of Art at Salem State College. He previously taught at Mississippi State University; Montserrrat College of Art; Senior Center at Boulder, Colorado; and Adult Corrections Institute in Cranston, Rhode Island. In pursuit of his career, Mr. Volpacchio has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Italy, as well as to Japan and South America; and he has worked beside and apprenticed for some of the world’s premier artists. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado. Since being included in Who’s Who Among College Students, he has been the recipient of several faculty grants. He has had extensive experience as a Visiting Artist, Lecturer, and Juror of exhibits in the United States and Italy.

Mr. Volpacchio has participated in exhibits throughout New England as well as Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas, Washington, D.C., Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Tennessee, and internationally in Italy and Japan. His studio, “River Rock, Glass and Clay Works,” is located in Boxford.
