Washington Street, from Abbot Hall to Old Town House
Chairperson: Greg Triplett
Committee: Peter Martin, Sarah Murphy, Lisa Martin, Chele Silveira, Ryan Camarda, Carol Bento, Matt Furman, and The Institute of Arts and Communication.
The Festival’s Fourth of July “block party” as Washington Street comes alive with dance, music, and comedy. All are sure to be entertained by some of the region’s most popular performers. The street is only open to foot traffic. All performances are free and everyone is encouraged to celebrate with us.
Roving entertainers:
Back in town, “Hoopoe The Mime” Chris Yerling, is one of New England’s best. We are also looking forward to the many costumes of Simply Circus, an amazing school for young people, stilts, cycling, and more. We would like to welcome Barbara Michaels. A unique and creative performer, whether in character or live statue, her talent will amaze you.

Back by popular demand, Peter can command his audience with quick wit. He is a world-class musician, juggler and comedian. As Boston Hysterical Society and a master of suspect activities, the only wonder about is why he is a street festival favorite
