Every year the Festival is represented by a new logo, the result of a design competition. A panel of jduges selects several finalists, and the winner is decided by public balloting.

On November 15, a panel of three judges reviewed the 77 Logo Contest entries and selected ten semifinalists. From that group, four finalists were selected, the winner to be determined by public ballot.

The winning design in the 2008 Logo Contest was created by Susan Lee of Salem. Susan works at the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, at Northeastern University, where her responsibilities range from academic advising to graphic design. A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in Philosophy and minored in Art, she is now pursuing a graduate degree in Informatics and Digital Media.
