The Winter Film Festival was held February 13, 2008, at Marblehead Little Theatre. The 93-minute program featured the following short films:

An animated introduction to the Harbor and the Film Festival itself. Ms. O ’Hare Williams is a graphic designer and artist with an extensive resume who works in Marblehead.
I Just Want to Eat My Sandwich

Hell is other people—no more so than for this stressed out citizen of Dilbertland. Julia Radochia is a filmmaker from Arlington with a long resume of short films, a number of which have been shown during the Festival of Arts Film Festival and other festivals in the area.

This animation finds a seeker after something humane in an alien urban landscape. Alex Ward created the animation at the Massachusetts College of Art.

Ros Bobos has been creating sound collages and videos for theatre, dance, and performance for 15 years and his films have been shown in numerous festivals around New England.

North Carolina-based Todd Tinkham’s film has been shown in many film festivals and won a Best Cinematography prize at the second Kent (Connecticut) Film Festival.

In this dramatic film, a young girl is torn between responsibility for caring for (and understanding) her severely disabled mother and her intimate connection with her assertive boyfriend. Leah Meyerhoff is a filmmaker living in New York. Twitch won second prize for Best Narrative at the 2005 Slamdance Film Festival. Note: This film contains scenes of intimate behavior.
First, Last, and Insecurity

El Bolero

A lonely widower encounters a “bolero” (a colloquial Mexican term for a shoeshine man) who provides him with more than a shine to his shoes. El Bolero was featured as part of the Boston International Film Festival in Boston on June 12; and it was shown at the Brattle Theatre in February as part of a program of the most innovative works created by Boston area filmmakers.
