Bridge Street is composed of four Marblehead Veterans Middle School students. In 2004 Chris Casey, a 14 year old singer, songwriter and guitarist started playing and recording with drummer Sawyer Billings. This past fall bassist Thomas Johnston joined up and Bridge Street was formed. Anna VanRemoortel came on board this winter and brings her experience and strong vocals to round out the band. As Ed Sullivan would say, “Here’s one for the youngsters in the audience!” Tell the kids not to miss Bridge Street!
Hayley Reardon
Original Folk/Pop
Haley Reardon.
Twelve-year-old Hayley Reardon has had music in her ears for as long as she can remember. Last summer she was introduced to the guitar and that unleashed her passion for songwriting. By the time she could form three chords, her first songs emerged, and with some three dozen compositions to date, they just continue to flow. Her songwriting blends melody, lyrics, message and vocals. They are often more about capturing an emotion or feeling, than telling a story. Hayley has been sharpening her performance skills through weekly sessions with the veteran performer and teacher Don White who commented, “Her songs are beautifully constructed, delicately phrased and many of them have that extremely rare ability to emotionally impact people between the ages of nine and ninety.” Don’t miss this brief performance by Hayley Reardon, a rare young talent on the verge of something very special

Bird Mancini, Boston's accordion/guitar rock duo, is led by the husband-wife team of Ruby Bird on accordion, melodica, harmonica and vocals along with singer-guitarist Billy Carl Mancini and joined tonight by long time friend John Bridge on bass and former Bentmen drummer Larry Harvey.
Bird Mancini, says the Boston Globe is “…a cosmopolitan fusion…pop music in the most adventurous, inclusive sense of the term.”
And of their Album Funny Day which was listed among the "Top 10 Best of the Year" by Metronome Magazine, Les Lewellyn, Preying Lizard Chill Pill Radio Show says, “This is one of those albums that stands up to time...an album that 10 years from now I'm gonna dig it and everyone who has it is gonna dig it. It's just one of those albums."
BIRD MANCINI, delivered their third CD "Funny Day", (Second Story Records) to great reviews, featuring their eclectic and at times a bit psychedelic rock pop style with lush vocal arrangements. Back from a recent West Coast Tour, they also performed for the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Boston, New York and in Liverpool UK at The Cavern Club.
Along with critical acclaim and an ASCAP/Boston Music Award nomination, Bird Mancini, were twice named among the Top 10 Year's Best by New England's Metronome Magazine. They've opened for greats like David Crosby, Leon Russell, Gregg Allman, Jonathan Edwards, James Montgomery, Mighty Sam McClain and the Pousette-Dart Band. The also duo performs occasionally with Boston rock legend and former Festival performer, Sal Baglio of The Stompers, and the traveling troubadours known as Urban Caravan in a variety of acoustic venues.
Gospel choirs in country churches and Kansas City blues and swing were Ruby Bird's early upbringing, while Billy Carl Mancini cut his guitar-playing teeth on high school rock and roll bands covering songs by 60's greats like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles and the Stones. Mix it all together and you get two high-spirited lead singers, blues-tinged guitar, accordion, harmonica, a variety of percussion, bells and whistles that is Bird Mancini. Add a plethora of talented musician friends acquired over the years, and you get energetic recordings with an astonishingly colorful palette--Indie-Music.com says, "It's so refreshing to hear such great variety on every single track and with such consistency and quality." As AllMusic.com puts it, "Bird Mancini is likely to please a wide array of listeners."
You’ve seen the quotes. We say it’s just cool inspired fun music from a great band to kick off our annual 4th of July musical celebration!

8:00–10:30 pm
Chad Hollister Band
Rock, Blues, Funk & Reggae
Chad Hollister.
Chad Hollister has been touring the country for over 10 years opening for HOF acts like Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, Warren Haynes and the list goes on. He’s in the finishing stages of his 6th release with esteemed producer Anthony J. Resta (Elton John, Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins, Duran Duran). He’s also worked with Charlie Midnight (James Brown, The Doobie Brothers) and John Alagia (Dave Matthews, John Mayer). Chad was a first place winner in The Billboard Songwriting Contest for his song "Jesus, Bon Jovi and Tarzan" and was placed on the National Lampoon soundtrack for "Cattle Call", the movie giant's third all-time best seller!
Chad's style infuses rock and roll with flavors of the blues, funk and reggae and out comes a groove stew of originals that always sounds familiar. He started out at age 7 on the drums and uses that rhythmic approach to create his unique “Chad Music” sound.
Chad’s band has always been an amazing group of talent that ebbs and flows like the Marblehead tides. Tonight’s “high tide” lineup includes hometown hero and “Festival House Drummer” Dave Mattacks, Boston guitar legend Steve Sadler, and special guests. Having family roots in Marblehead for over 30 years, Chad and his band come back to his “second home” rocking Crocker Park like a Fireworks Explosion!
