The Festival of Arts is not complete until you’ve experienced Street Festival. This great community block party provides something for everyone, young and old: music, street performers, and children’s crafts. Washington Street will be closed from Abbot Hall to the Old Town House, open to foot traffic only. All entertainment and crafts are free, and everyone is encouraged to join in.
Children’s Crafts: Buttons & Streamers.
Face Painters; Balloon Artist; and Airbrush Temporary Tattoos by Gayle Rosen.
The Henna Hut, celebrating the ancient art of Henna Tattoos.
A delicious favorite at Street Festival is Devereux House, sharing its famous recipe for chowder.
Live performers:
Stephen Baird
A children’s favorite, Stephen comes from the old school of street performing where art, music, dance, and children’s participation is what it’s all about.
The Magic of David Hall
This up-and-coming Boston magician entertains and amazes you with his comedy and talent.
Roving Mime: Chris Yerling
Chris always supplies laughter, color, and cheer to all our good natured attendees.
Christine Lucas
A member of Marblehead’s wellness community as well as a rising New York recording star, Christine massages your ears with her crystal clear vocal talent.
Brent MacCoy: The Working Clown
Back by popular demand and coming all the way from Vermont. The audience enjoys his comedy and creative juggling.
The Heartstrings
Classical music performed by a talented teenage trio.
