Student Art
is a non-juried exhibit of original work in the categories of calligraphy,
crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking,
and sculpture. This exhibit features the work of students in grades
5-12 attending public or private schools in Marblehead, nonresidents
in school or taking lessons in Marblehead, and Marblehead residents
attending private schools out of town.
The Debra and Jack Highberger Award, initiated in 2012, may be awarded annually to an artist entered in either the Youth or Student Art Exhibit whose work demonstrates a love or commitment to art and a proficiency and depth of theme, message or evoked emotion that transcends his or her chronological age.
