Over the River was an Official Selection both at the New England Film and Video Festival and the Roxbury Film Festival and won an Honorable Mention at the Film North Film Festival in Beverly in June, 2007.

Mysterieuse is a colorful and haunting animation about a woman’s relationship with a mysterious creature and the devastating outcome of that relationship. Ms. Olschan is a filmmaker from Connecticut and her film was selected as one of the region’s best independent films by the Boston Cinema Census this year.

An older man’s meditation about his life as it is now and as it was then. Dan Masucci is a filmmaker living in Scotia, New York, whose Letting Go was shown at last year’s Film Festival.

He tells you he’s happy at home. He looks like he’s happy at home. The music is about being happy at home. His dog looks happy at home. He’s really, really happy at home. Julia Radochia is a filmmaker from Arlington who shot this film when she was living in Los Angeles.

Steve Baldwin is a filmmaker from Beverly whose work was shown at the Film Festival last year as well as this year’s Salem Film Fest.

A man is ready with a ring to pop the question to his girlfriend until he gets some unpleasant news from a detective who has confirmed his worst suspicions. What is the treasure and where does it end up? See for yourself! JSOK is the nom de plume of Jason Solokoff, a young filmmaker working in New York. Treasure of Riverside Park has been featured at Lincoln Center in NYC.

Painful and funny at the same time, Cookie de Mayo is about a Danish woman’s attempt to integrate herself into the self-absorbed culture of an all-American CubicleWorld workplace on Cinco de Mayo. Carl Hansen, formerly from Beverly, lives and works in Los Angeles; his films have been shown at previous Film Festivals.

Another piece from the Real to Reel film school, The Quimby Files details the (fictional, we hope) work of a very intense child with a problem you’d rather not know about gathering information you’d rather not know about. He may be watching you right now…

If Quimby (see above) ever gets on the trail of Uma Thurman or Angelina Jolie, he may need the very special services advertised by the energetic team of professionals in this late night television advertisement. Ros Bobos, aka Andrew Hannah, has been creating sound collages and videos for over 15 years and his films have been shown both at the Festival and other venues in New England.

Let’s see…we have the flame thrower, the belly dancers, the mermaids, the girls buried up to their necks in the sand…and then there’s Joan, of the British group Joan as Police Woman, in Statue-of-Liberty drag, telling you, “I wanna have you now, but I can’t be the lighter of your eternal flame…” This music video was directed by Leah Meyerhoff (director of Twitch, shown here last year), who makes shorts and videos, and who is now working on her first feature film.
